Yet The Contagion Next Time is among the few books that emerged from pandemic literature that is likely to percolate on reading lists for decades. The author argues that we need to spend more energy battling the societal and economic factors that set the groundwork for the pandemic. It Is less about vaccines and masks, more about preventive measures at large. The lyrical read prods impressively, without accusation.
